How to Process

In my world for you, there are two things that the internet is for – your website and getting people to your website. The first thing I really want to do with you is talk about your business. The more we chat up front, the faster my gears start spinning, and the faster things will move down the road. You know, that road with your pot O’Gold at the end.

The easy schmeasy version of this is: We get your goals. We create a plan. We get it going.

I like easy. For me being organized helps things to be easy. The longer version goes a little something like this:

We will meet, in person, over the phone, via video chat like Skype, or whatever other method we need. During this meeting we will talk about your needs, wants, and desires. We generally don’t limit ourselves at this point. Just get the ideas moving. Then I go off and put together my thoughts. This typically is a summary of our conversation in the form of a new website design, a social media plan, some advertising models, and new business strategies. Because in the end, it is all about your business, marketing strategies, and getting people to your site.

Now don't get worried if you think getting people to your website is where it all stops. It really is dependent on your business. If you have an ice cream parlor that has a particularly nice java chip ice cream, we will want visitors to go to your store and try some. The website might have some wonderful pictures that get the taste buds a screamin’ and that will be a CALL to ACTION for people to jump into their car, climb on the bike, put on their walking shoes, grab the dog and get down to your parlor!

And So It Starts

Sometimes we don’t know what to ask for because we don’t know what is possible. I’ll say this: Don’t throttle your most important tool – your MIND.

Just take a few minutes and answer the following question:
If you knew anything was possible and there were no rules, what would you want to do?

Developing your goals should be sort of like Bill Gates asking for your birthday wish list. As far as you’re concerned you just say what you want and we will see what is possible.

Getting back to the process, I can’t say enough about step 1: Discuss. As you may be able to tell, I like information. I like to gather it so I can learn more about you. I like to provide it to you. I have found that talking with others about our ideas, plans, and strategies, helps us clarify and solidify them. When working with you on ideas, I really plan to help pull ideas out of you and supplement them with my ideas and techniques.

So often we get caught up in our day to day business activities that we don’t take time out to think about what we want our website, marketing, social media efforts to do and who we want to reach. If only there was more hours in the day. Well, that is something I can provide. I’m able to do some of those time consuming things for you and also show you demonstrated ways of getting more done in less time.

At the end of these initial conversations the process gets even easier for you. We will develop a project plan and roll out schedule. The best part about this plan is that you will know right up front what we will be doing together, the order in which things will progress and expectations for each other.

Developing and deploying enhancements to your website, marketing, and goals will mean that we will talk throughout the process. The role I take is based on your needs. Your inspiration. Your motivator, coach, consultant, friend. I want to excite you with possibilities. We will work to reach your goals by educating you, implementing our plans, and measuring for success along the way.
